“Smile and be strong always! I love you!” She texts at 1:11 as tears stream down her face.
She stares at her phone, waiting for you to reply. She knows you won’t be able to for a couple of hours but she still checks just in case you get the chance to text her back.
She misses you. She misses you badly but she has to be strong for you because she can’t stand seeing you cry because you miss her.
So she smiles, so you’ll smile too.
